Student Registration
WELCOME TO YOUR PUBLIC ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS!
Before accessing the Student Registration Form below, please take a moment to review this information.
Registration at elementary and secondary schools takes place throughout the school year. For Junior and Senior Kindergarten, registration begins each November for the following school year.
Please contact your school to register your child or to ask questions about the Kindergarten program. If you do not know which school your child or teen should attend, please call 705-742-9773 or toll-free 1-877-741-4577, ext. 2127.
Your public schools' Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs offer excellent beginnings for your child’s academic, social, emotional and language development.
The program runs on a full-day, every-other-day basis.
You may register your child now to start school in September 2010 if:
• Junior kindergarten - your child is four years of age by December 31, 2010
• Kindergarten - your child is five years of age by December 31, 2010.
You may print and complete the following registration form, and bring it with you when registering your child. Registration forms also are available at each school.

In addition, please bring a birth certificate or other proof of age, proof of address, and current immunization information when registering your child. Since registration times vary, please contact your local school for details.
Within our student registration form, you will see a section providing an opportunity for a student or a family with aboriginal ancestry to voluntarily participate in our self-identification program. This program is part of our commitment to implementing the Ontario Ministry of Education’s First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Education Policy Framework.
We will be working to support success for aboriginal learners by increasing awareness of the learning styles of aboriginal students, and increasing all staff and students' understanding of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit cultures, histories, and perspectives.
If you have further questions regarding this component of our registration program, please feel free to contact Aboriginal Education Coordinator Mary LeRoy at 705-742-9773 or toll-free at 877-741-4577, ext. 2195, or mary_leroy@kprdsb.ca
