Kawartha Pine Ridge students participate in the arts daily. Artistic expression promotes intellectual and emotional growth by building and celebrating a sense of community and self. Students learn to express themselves both verbally and non-verbally in drama, dance, music and visual arts.

Sears Ontario Drama Festival - one of the longest running secondary school student drama festivals in the world. The Festival starts with local schools performing at District Festivals. Those chosen as outstanding will then go on to the Regional level, where 15 productions will be selected to participate in the gala Ontario Showcase. The Kawartha District Festival took place at Showplace Peterborough, from March 21 to March 24, 2006.
KPaRts Festival of the Performing Arts - the KPaRts Festival recognizes talented students and outstanding arts programs in our Board. It took place April 20, 2006 at the Capitol Arts Centre in Port Hope.
ZOOM Student Video Festival - The 2006 Festival theme was Creating Tomorrow Through Action Today. Students created and submitted original videos in one of six categories: Animation, Dramatization (Short and Long), Documentary (Short and Long) and Original Music Video. The Screening Night and Award Ceremony took place Thursday, June 8, 7:30 p.m. at Clarington Central Secondary School.
