Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board has a continuous intake application process for the positions of principals and vice-principal, elementary and secondary.

 

Applications will be evaluated based on the following:

 

  • Standard application Form and Resume / Qualifications and Range of Experience
  • Performance Appraisal Report.
  • Candidate Profile / Reference Checks.
  • Personal Philosophy Statement.
  • Demonstration of an understanding of, and commitment to, Our Mission, OurVision, Our Values and Our Character Attributes.
  • Overall Impression and Readiness for Appointment.

 

The interview process also will include a “Case Study” component. The applicant will receive a Case Study focusing on an analysis of school data and an evaluation of school growth planning, approximately one hour prior to their interview. The candidate will have 10 minutes during their interview to orally present their response to the Case Study. The interview will be approximately 45 minutes in length and designed as follows:

 

1. 3 – 5 minutes Opening Statement

2. 10 minutes (maximum) Case Study Response

3. 20 – 25 minutes Behavioural Descriptive questions (answers should focus on the applicant’s past experiences)

4. 1 – 3 minutes Closing Statement
