The Board’s 10-year Capital Needs Assessment outlines future enrolment projections, expected new school construction, additions and consolidations for the next 10 years. It is intended to shape how we will meet the future accommodation needs of our students.

We have shared this information with our communities for their input at a series of public meetings throughout January and February of 2007, before its presentation to the Board of Trustees at our Thursday, March 29, 2007 Board meeting. We have since submitted the assessment to the Ministry of Education.

We believe that these are important issues for our school communities and district school board as a whole. While this assessment is based on a 10 year outlook, we also want to be clear in indicating that its components may change over time.
